Pingree Grove, Illinois: The Village of Pingree Grove is located in a rapidly growing area of Northwestern Kane County. Pingree Grove was founded in the 1880’s and just celebrated its 100th year of incorporation on February 14, 2007.  In 2005 the Village of Pingree Grove had a population of only 120 residents, today new census have indicated the current population has reached to over 2600 residents.   The Village of Pingree Grove officials have certainly had their work cut out for them in the last 2 years and believe they have successfully blended the quaint, historic village heritage with the quality of life for many new residential neighborhoods.  Pingree Grove considers itself to be "A Place to Grow" with the many new homes built by Cambridge Homes. Cambridge Lakes Subdivision is located on Rt. 72 just east of Rt. 47.  Cambridge Lakes offers all the amenities, parks, community center and soon they will have a new school within the community.  Pingree Grove Village Officials are in the process of creating a new business park along Rt. 20 for commercial and light industrial.  When completed, the Pingree Grove Business Park will be the home to new businesses bringing many job opportunities to the area. The village has also approved the preliminary plat for commercial development of 12 acres along Rt. 72 and   Reinking Road and has annexed and rezoned for commercial approximately 50 acres of land at the Rt. 47 and Rt. 20 intersection. It is anticipated that this commercial property will attract larger users such as a major chain grocery store.  Pingree Grove, Illinois is conveniently located to major transportation with Interstate I90 only 2 miles north on Rt. 47. Major shopping is readily available on the Randal Road corridor which is minutes away, taking Rt. 20 and or Rt.72 east. Pingree Grove residents are in the Hampshire District.  Hampshire is a very active park district with various programs from 4yr old T-Ball to soccer leagues to men’s softball leagues.
